Glass boards are critical surfaces for magnets: There is a steel plate covered by glass of thickness at least 4 mm. This construction needs strong magnets. Average pin board magnets usually are too weak for glass boards or magnet paint areas. Therefore strong raw magnets of neodymium are used regularly for glass boards - but these splinter easily when used as pin board magnets. This causes danger of injuries even if there are children or you cannot control who sticks notices to the board.
This magnets solve this dilemma: They are really strong but save from splintering because of high-class shell 'Made in Germany'.
